Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens- Trailer 2
The most anticipated movie of the year not to come out in the summer has to be Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. What's not to be excited about? A fantastic director in J.J. Abrams is rejuvenating the franchise. The original cast (Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford) are returning, as well as featuring a line of new and extremely talented actors. A teaser for the movie was put out last December, but it showed us only a few shots just to get us excited. With Star Wars Celebration this weekend, a new trailer was shown that actually gave us something to be excited about. A hell of a lot, actually.
I will be doing a more in-depth analysis of the trailer later, but in a general sense, this was a great trailer. What struck me most was that from the visuals to the music, this felt like traditional Star Wars, just newer. It never felt like it was just some space movie with the Star Wars title, but it was genuinely apart of that franchise in tone and design. The villain, Kylo Ren, looks awesome. The narration confused me for a second, because I thought it was one of the new people, but it is apparently narration that Mark Hamill did from The Return of the Jedi. I also have to say that, at the end, when Han Solo and Chewbacca are standing in the Millennium Falcon together and Han says "Chewey, we're home", I honest to God thought he said "Chewey, we're alone". Yeah, that would have been a completely different movie.
What do you think? Did you like the trailer? How did it compare to the first one? Are you looking forward to Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
