First Trailer for Concussion

I'm not really a big fan of sports movies, mainly because I'm not a big sports fan. I really liked boxing movies, but other than that I'm not very interested in them. So when I saw that there was a trailer for a NFL movie with Will Smith in it, I clicked on it only because it was Will Smith. And now, after seeing the trailer, I really want to see this movie. This isn't just about a coach with his team trying to get a big win, which is what bores me with sports movies. This is a drama, about the fascinating story surrounding Dr. Bennet Omalu (Smith), a forensic neuropathologist who discovered the truth about concussions with NFL players, and how the NFL wanted to silence him and keep it quiet. This isn't a sports movie-- it's a drama that happens to take place in the world of sports, and that is something I can get on board with.

Smith looks fantastic in this role. Some people are complaining about his accent, but I think it's a true testament to his devotion to this role. Because this isn't Will Smith just being Will Smith in a movie. He is playing Dr. Omalu, and you can tell. Between his appearance to his accent, I don't really see Will Smith anymore, and that is a sign that Smith is bringing his A-game to this role. He is a fantastic actor, and when he's on, he's incredible! The story sounds fascinating, and I really want to learn more about it. So overall, I really liked the trailer and a movie that I had never heard of before has just become one that I am now definitely keeping on my radar.
