The Jungle Book- Trailer 2

One of my most anticipated films of this year is Jon Favreau's The Jungle Book. It's funny, because it wasn't even on my radar whatsoever until the D23 Expo. Footage from the film was shown there that people were raving about, and shortly after we got our first trailer. I was blown away by how beautiful this film looked, and it seemed like this could really be something special. Now, like I said before, this movie is one of my most anticipated of the year. And now, we have a brand new trailer for this film.

I loved this trailer, more so than the first. You really get an idea of the scope of the film. This is definitely one to see in IMAX. We also get to hear the voice talent for the first time. Ben Kingsley, Christopher Walken and Idris Elba nail their roles, giving depth and dimension to their characters. Visually, it looks spectacular. It's mind-blowing to think this was all filmed in front of a green screen. I champion this film's use of CGI, and how they were able to create an entire, life-like world right in a computer. Mowgli (Neel Sethi) looks fantastic, and I think he's going to crush this role. The one part I'm not sold on is the animal voices matching the lip movements. It looked off (until the end of the trailer), and I hope they are able to get this right or else I'm going to be distracted during the entire movie. Also, Bill Murray's voice stood out as not being an exact fit for Baloo. But hopefully in the context of the film it works fine. Overall, I was blown away by this trailer and I really can't wait for April.

What do you think? Did you like the trailer for The Jungle Book? Are you looking forward to the film? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
