Beauty and the Beast- Final Trailer

I have actually been really excited for Beauty and the Beast. I loved the animated film as a kid, and seeing the images and watching the trailers for this live action adaptation brings me right back to my childhood. It looks as if they've really captured the look, feel, and essence of the animated movie. The cast is really spot on. Emma Watson is a great choice for Belle. The voice cast of Ewan McGreggor as Lumiere, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts is truly excellent casting. And Luke Evans as Gaston is perfect. I have always thought that this movie has a lot of potential, especially after seeing the last two Disney animated film adaptations, The Jungle Book and Pete's Dragon. I think they've got something really special here, so I for one am really excited to check it out in March. But we've been waiting on one final trailer. While I don't necessarily need it to convince me in seeing this film, it would be nice to get a better sense of the scope and feel of the movie. So I was definitely interested in checking out this final trailer.

I think I liked the second trailer more, but this is definitely a very good trailer. We hit the same beats as the second trailer, but this one elaborates a little more. We get to see more of Belle and the Beast's (Dan Stevens) relationship and dynamic, which is very integral to this movie working. This is only a two minute trailer, but they seem to have excellent chemistry. This does look and feel a lot like the animated movie, which I applaud them for. They're really done a great job in adapting it. I'm still not sold on the Beast's CGI. It doesn't look very realistic to me. It screams fake. Hopefully, when I'm watching the film, it won't bother me. But within the context of the trailer, it really stands out. I also didn't love the song that played. I wish they had used an actual song from the movie, instead of one made for the film. When the title is sung at the end as it appears was a little cheesy and unnecessary. Still, I think this is a very solid trailer, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing the film when it comes out.
