Bond 24 is Officially Called...

The James Bond franchise has been probably the longest-running franchise to date. Skyfall marked the 23rd film in the franchise. And there seems to be no apparent end to it, as plans for more films  are made. Current Bond star Daniel Craig will star in only a few more movies before he is replaced one again. But, from everything we know so far, Craig is going to go out with a bang!

Today, the cast and title for the 24th Bond film was announced, along with a basic description. The new entre will be called Spectre with Sam Mendes returning as the director. The film will see Christoph Waltz as the villain along with Guardians of the Galaxy's Dave Bautista as well as Monica Bellucci and Lea Seydoux as "Bond Girls". The basic plot released along with the announcement is as follows:

"A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE."

I haven't seen many Bond films, but I like the looks of this movie. There's still a lot of interest in Bond movies and as long as there's demand, they should keep making them.

A first teaser poster was also released:
