Avengers: Infinity War- Trailer 2

Avengers: Infinity War is without a doubt the biggest comic book movie to ever hit theaters, if not one of the biggest event films ever in cinematic history. If you thought the previous Avengers movies had big casts, you're in for it with this one! If I were to list everyone in this movie, I wouldn't have any space left to talk about the actual trailer. But suffice to say, this is a packed film, and it's going to be an experience to watch. We don't know for sure that it will be good. I do have my reservations, mainly with how many characters there are for the Russo Brothers to juggle. But between Captain America: The Winter Soldier and especially Captain America: Civil War, the Russos have not only never failed us with their Marvel movies, but they have also proven their ability to handle large casts of characters. If anyone can pull off Infinity War and make it all work, it's them. I thought the first trailer for the movie was phenomenal. It gave us a great sense of the stakes of the film, as well as giving us an introduction to everyone who will be involved in the movie. You can watch that first trailer here. So while I'm already sold on the movie, I've been excited to see a new trailer for the film, just to have another chance to nerd out over it. And now we have the second trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, which hits theaters on April 27th.

What do you want me to say? This trailer is fucking awesome. Now, I do like the first trailer a little bit more, but that does not take away at all from how great this one is. It's more a testament to how incredible the first trailer was. With this trailer, we get a tiny bit more of the story, and what Thanos (Josh Brolin) wants. I think there's a lot more to him than we've seen in the marketing. I think (and hope) it will be more than just him wanting to destroy the universe, and that there will be more depth to him as a character. And I don't blame them for not putting that in the trailers. It's best to save that for the actual movie. The best part of this trailer was seeing the heroes interact. Seeing Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) talking to Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) was fantastic, as well as watching Spider-Man (Tom Holland) interact with Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). This trailer is mostly focused on the dramatic aspects of the film with a couple jokes sprinkled in, and I hope that is evident of the ratio of drama to comedy in the actual movie. I don't want this to be a Thor: Ragnarok, where every other line is a joke. I want the focus of this movie to be dramatic with a few jokes here and there. And if this trailer is any indication, it looks like that is the path they've taken. Overall, this is a great trailer, and it only gets me even more hyped to see Avengers: Infinity War in just a little over a month from now.
